Dynamic Security and Accountability in Distributed Virtualised Networks
The increasing adoption of virtualised and distributed network infrastructures has significantly transformed the way digital services are deployed and managed. However, this evolution also introduces new challenges in terms of security, accountability and operational control, particularly in highly dynamic and heterogeneous environments.
The CERBERUS project addresses these challenges by developing a dynamic security and management framework for distributed virtualised networks. The project focuses on enabling real-time security monitoring, adaptive threat detection and coordinated response mechanisms across virtualised network functions and distributed infrastructure components.
CERBERUS proposes an integrated approach that combines advanced network orchestration, security analytics and automated policy enforcement to ensure trustworthy operation throughout the network lifecycle. By dynamically adapting security controls to changing network conditions, the framework enhances resilience, accountability and service continuity, even in the presence of complex attack scenarios.
The project validates its approach through realistic use cases and experimental environments, demonstrating how dynamic security management can improve the protection, reliability and governance of next-generation virtualised networks. CERBERUS contributes to strengthening secure digital infrastructures and supports the deployment of robust, scalable and trustworthy network services.
