Biography
Pablo Martínez Sánchez holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Murcia (UMU), Spain, where he is currently a Ph.D. student specializing in data-plane networks and cybersecurity for the defense sector. He has been involved since its early stages in Horizon Europe cybersecurity projects, most notably CASTOR, where he contributes as a P4 developer, working on programmable data-plane solutions for trust-aware networking across the compute continuum.
His research focuses on the programmable network data plane, traffic engineering and path enforcement using P4, Segment Routing and PCE-based control, and on the integration of trust and security mechanisms into network infrastructure for critical and defense-related scenarios. He has co-authored publications in these areas, including work on router configuration and explicit path enforcement using PCE and Flex-Algo (IEEE SecSoft) and on the automation of attacking agents in cyber range training platforms (Springer), and actively participates in project plenaries, testbed integration and dissemination activities.
